Mission
'The driving force behind the kilometres'. That's the tagline of main sponsor DLL (De Lage Landen) concerning the Eindhoven Marathon. DLL wanted to show that force by means of an aftermovie. A movie in which team spirit, commitment and experience come together as central values.
Approach
Having analysed the activities before, after and during the marathon we decided on two video shooting days: the day before the start of the marathon and the day itself. This created a varied image of all that is involved in organising such a huge event. Using multiple cameras we documented this major happening. Recordings taken from a motorcycle and alongside the track captured the atmosphere and energy of the event. We then edited the footage, supported by matching music, into an attractive aftermovie.
Result
The aftermovie provides the viewer with an inspiring insight into the organisation of DLL's event. It shows spirit and passion which creates a feeling of pride within the organisation and affords an outward power to their brand. The video is publicised through social media and direct mailing. DLL uses the video as starting point for the next edition of the Eindhoven Marathon.
